Tips for Best Results

Send us a high-resolution image. Best results are achieved using 3 megapixels or higher. It is recommended that any wall-e above 4 feet be taken by a professional photographer. This will give us the best possible picture quality for your wall-e.

Make sure your camera is set for the highest resolution (Fine or Super Fine). Many cameras default setting is low or mid-level resolution in order to increase the number of pictures that can be stored. Double check BEFORE you take your pictures.

It is best to send us the original digital photo. If you scan an image, set the resolution to 200dpi or higher and save the image as a .jpg file.

Got-Chya.COM accepts .jpg files. Most photo viewing or editing software will allow you to save your image as a .jpg file. When saving your image as a .jpg select 200 DPI (Dots Per Inch) or PPI (Pixels Per Inch) or as large as possible.

Fill up the frame with your image subject! Professionals call this a "Tight Shot". The larger your subject is in the frame, the better he/she/it will appear in a Wall-E. Enlarging a small subject within the frame will usually result in a grainy or blurry final product.

For Wall-E images be sure to capture the entire subject within the frame. A common mistake is to cut off the feet.

Wall-E's can be made from partial subjects, but the best results include the entire subject.

For most shots, vertical (Portrait) images work best. This allows for the largest possible image of a vertical subject such as a person. Naturally, the subject dictates the ideal orientation. Always keep in mind that you want your subject to fill up as much of the frame as possible.

Well focused and clear images work best. If the subject looks a little bit blurred in a small image (such as your camera's view finder or your computer), just imagine how it will look enlarged 10 or 100 times!

If you are staging your photo for a Wall-E shot use a light colored background if possible (but any background will do). Remember, the background will be removed for your staged Wall-E so you can take the photo anywhere you like.
